Ankita Lokhande Lands A Meatier Role In Tiger Shroff And Shraddha Kapoor’s Action Drama Baaghi 3
Ankita Lokhande is elated with joy, as she has landed with a meatier role in Shraddha Kapoor and Tiger Shroff starrer action drama Baaghi 3. The actress will be seen playing Shraddha’s sister’s role onscreen, set to release on March 6, 2020
Baaghi series proved to be a milestone in actor Tiger Shroff’s filmy career. Once again teaming up with actress Shraddha Kapoor for the third instalment of the action franchise; Baaghi 3 was announced even before its second instalment had hit the screens. The duo was paired onscreen in Baaghi, followed by which in the second instalment Disha Patani replaced Shraddha Kapoor. Now comes news of a new addition to this action franchise. Ankita Lokhande has finally landed up with her second Bollywood film.
The television actress who made a successful transition into films with Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, Ankita Lokhande has been roped in by the makers for this action drama. The third instalment we see Ankita playing Shraddha’s sister on the silver screen. The elated actress spoke with PTI and confirmed the same. Ankita said, "It is very challenging, but I am confident that my character will strike a chord with the audience. The third instalment is different from the previous two, as Baaghi 3 is more about the family bond. I play a fun-loving girl, who shares a great bond with her sister. I haven't played anything like this on TV or in Bollywood and the audience will see me in a never-seen-before avatar in my next outing." This will be the first time Ankita will be seen in an out and out action film, though Manikarnika had few of her action sequences along with Kangana Ranaut.
The actress made her Bollywood debut with Kangana Ranaut’s period drama film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi based on the life of Rani Lakshmi Bai of Jhansi. Ankita played the role of Jhalkari Bai. She had a strong supporting role in the film, also sharing screen space with Kangana Ranaut.
Coming back to Baaghi 3, the action drama has gone on floors in Mumbai from September 12, 2019; to make it bigger and better makers are planning to shoot the film in Serbia, Morocco, Egypt and Turkey as well.
