Renowned actress Anu Aggarwal rose to fame after her movie Aashiqui became super-hit. She was one of the most sought-after actresses of her time. However, in 1999 the diva got into a horrible accident which left her scared and injured. During one of her previous interviews she had revealed how she fell into a coma for 29 days. In a recent interview, she opened up about why she never went under the knife as her face was badly injured.
Talking to Indian Express, she recalled how after the accident everyone told her to get a surgery if she wants to continue working. She was certain that she didn’t want to go under the knife even after her face was paralyzed. Anu said, “I’d never go under the knife. Even after my accident, people told me that I’d need to go under a knife if I want to continue working. But if you accept yourself for what you are, you don’t need surgery. It is your belief in yourself that will take you ahead in life.” ALSO READ: Anu Aggarwal Recalls Walking Out From A Modelling Assignment After They Applied Fair Makeup On Her Face

The 54-year-old actress went on to recall a time when Rekha had complimented her during an international tour. She revealed how being a senior and never having met her, the veteran actress heaped praises on her beauty. She continued, “Her assistant came and told me ‘Rekha ji wants to see you’. I’ll never forget this, it was a room with mirrors and she was sitting and getting her make-up done. She and smiled at me and said, ‘you have got a face that we all make through make-up.’ I was just like ‘wow’, I didn’t know how to say thank you or react to that kind of a compliment.” ALSO READ: ‘Aashiqui’ Fame Anu Aggarwal On Finding Love: ‘It Is Not Sex Woh Toh Kabhi Khatam Ho Gaya, My Need For Love Is Fulfilled In Different Way’
