Anurag Kashyap ditches Kalki, keeps her 'waiting'

Anurag Kashyap and Kalki Koechlin have never let their
divorce take a toll on their dosti. The two continue to be thick friends and
even socialise together.
So, when the actress invited the filmmaker for a special
screening of her latest release Waiting last night, there was nothing unusual
about it.

Anurag graciously accepted the invite and even promised to
be a part of his ex-wife’s big nite. So far, so good.
However, even after the screening started, the Gangs Of
Wasseypur director was nowhere in sight. Tired of waiting, Kalki finally called
him up.

The answer, we are sure, surprised her as much as it
surprised us.
We hear that Anurag told her: “I am a little caught up. But
now, you are a National Award winner. Main aaoon ya na aaoon, kya fark padega?”

Obviously, Kalki was at a loss for words after hearing the
response.
While we are not discounting the possibility of Anurag
having been genuinely busy, what was that reference to the ‘National Award’ all
about?
Anyway, Kalki still thought that he was joking and might
make a late entry. Lekin Mr Kashyap nahin aaye.
