Anurag Kashyap received a death threat on Twitter, which he forwarded to Mumbai Police and the latter came to the rescue almost instantly

Anurag Kashyap Receives Death Threat On Social Media, Mumbai Police Jumps To His Rescue
Recently, forty-nine prominent celebrities wrote an open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and expressed their concerns over the growing cases of mob lynching in India. The celebrities were from different backgrounds and included filmmakers like Anurag Kashyap, Aparna Sen, Adoor Gopalakrishnan, Mani Ratnam, and Konkona Sen Sharma, and many more. However, it proved to have landed Anurag Kashyap in an extreme situation as he received a death threat from a Twitter user.

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap found himself in the middle of a controversy as a Twitter user gave him a death threat. The user wrote that he had recently cleaned the rifle and shotgun and is waiting to see Anurag Kashyap in person. This was quite a serious matter and Anurag Kashyap was quick to respond as he forwarded the tweet to Mumbai Police.  Mumbai Police immediately replied to Kashyap and wrote, “The cyber police station has been sent the account details. Request you to file a police complaint at your nearest police station for legal action to be initiated."



Anurag Kashyap was grateful for the action taken by the Mumbai Police instantly and wrote back a tweet thanking the police.

In other news, Anurag Kashyap is currently working on a Malayalam film called Moothon for which he is a screenwriter and co- producer. He has also co-produced the film Saand Ki Aankh starring Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar which will release on October 25, 2019.
