Amitabh Bachchan and Anushka Sharma landed in legal trouble after Mumbai police booked the Bollywood stars for violating traffic rules. While BigB has issued a clarification for not wearing a helmet while riding as a pillion on a motorcycle in Mumbai, Anushka Sharma fans were concerned and curious about the incident and its details which led to her landing in legal trouble. 

The actress was seen taking a bike ride with her bodyguard to reach sets on time after a roadblock. The video instantly grabbed traction on social media and netizens shared the video tagging Mumbai Traffic Police as they questioned the actress and her bodyguard for not wearing a helmet. Mumbai Traffic Police’s Twitter took swift cognisance of the appeal made by the Twitteraties and shared that the offender already paid the challan.

As per the reports, Anushka's bodyguard, Sonu Shaikh, was charged a fine of Rs 10,500. A challan was also issued against him under Sec 129/194, Sec 5/180 & Sec 3(1)18. The Mumbai Traffic Police also reportedly confirmed that the fine was paid by the rider, reported TimesNow.

Amitabh Bachchan, on the other hand, hand issued a clarification about his no-helmet incident and shared that the image was during a shoot on closed-off roads with all the necessary permissions taken, which allowed him to ride without wearing a helmet.


"The fact of the matter is that this is on location shoot on the street of Mumbai .. It is Sunday .. formal permission taken for shoot at a lane in Ballard Estate .. permission sought for Sunday because all offices are shut and there is no public or traffic ..One lane in the region BLOCKED off by Police permission for shoot .. the lane barely 30-40 meters .. On the professional front, Anushka will make her acting comeback with Chakda Xpress. The film is reported to be a biopic of the former cricketer Jhulan Goswami. The film will have a digital release on Netflix.
