Arjan Bajwa On Completing 20 Years In Showbiz: ‘I Wish I Had Done More Films’-EXCLUSIVE
Twenty years ago, Arjan Bajwa started his journey in showbiz with a Telugu film, Sampangi. Three years later, he stepped in the Hindi Film Industry with Kuku Kohli’s Woh Tera Naam Tha. But it wasn’t until 2007 that he was noticed for his stint in Abhishek Bachchan’s Guru and attained further recognition as Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s love interest in Fashion. He was last seen on the big screen as Shahid Kapoor’s older brother in Kabir Singh and is now making his name in the OTT space. Ask Arjan if he feels that he is at a position where he would have wanted to be when he started 20 years ago, and he denies it.

“Definitely not and that is because of two reasons. Firstly, I wish I had done more films. I have done about 25 films till now and I feel that I should have done more. Secondly, as an actor you are always growing and evolving, so you can never be contempt to be where you are,” Arjan asserts.

But was it a conscious decision to do less films or it just turned out that way? “It was a mix of both. It was conscious as I wanted to do films that I wanted to be a part of. Although, in retrospect, there are still some films which I shouldn’t have done. I wanted to do more quality stuff, so that when I look back at my career, there should be milestones. Thankfully, I have five-six films like that, starting with Guru, Fashion, Son Of Sardar, Rustom and Kabir Singh. Somebody can look at my filmography and say that I have had memorable projects in my career. Sometimes you do a lot of films, but when people talk about you, they are lost about your performance. Thankfully I have had milestones in my career and I hope to have some more,” Arjan concludes.
