This morning, Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal presented himself before the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for the second round of questioning, in connection with a drug-related case. The NCB has been probing the alleged drug nexus In Bollywood, after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput a few months ago. Arjun Rampal, who was previously questioned by the NCB on November 13, is once again being interrogated by the agency. India Today has reported that Arjun Rampal may get arrested by the NCB if the doctor’s prescription that he submitted is found to be fake.

Sources told India Today that the NCB suspects the doctor’s prescription which was submitted by Arjun Rampal regarding the psychiatric medicines found at his home, is fake. The medicines were reportedly found at Arjun Rampal’s residence after a raid was conducted last month. When he appeared before the NCB on November 13, Arjun Rampal had reportedly produced a doctor’s prescription for the psychiatric medicines that were found at his place. Arjun had claimed that he had nothing to do with drugs or drug peddlers, and that he had also submitted a valid prescription for the medicines.

India Today reports that Arjun Rampal was summoned again by the NCB regarding the same prescription. While the summon was sent to the actor on December 15, and he was asked to appear on December 16, he reportedly asked for a week’s time citing personal reasons.



India Today further reports that if the prescription is found to be forged or fake, then the actor could get arrested by the agency as the medicine found at his residence was a scheduled drug under NDPS Act. Sources told India Today that Arjun Rampal allegedly got the prescription through a friend from a Delhi-based doctor, and it was of a backdate. If this is true, then the actor may face an arrest by the NCB as producing a fake, backdated prescription is an offense, reports India Today.
