Arjun Rampal's 'Publicist' Gaurang Doshi's Embarrassing Behaviour With SpotboyE's Female Reporter

This afternoon, I caught up with Arjun Rampal for an interview and surprisingly Gaurang Doshi (producer of Aankhen 2 which Arjun will shoot soon) decided to sit a little away from me as I unfolded my questions. After asking him questions on Aankhen 2, we shifted our focus to a little about his personal life which has been a subject of discussion in the media since quite some time. But Gaurang butted in and said 'Nothing doing. You will ask nothing but Aankhen 2' because he is not making 'Chudail Ki Jawaani'!

After asking him questions on Aankhen 2, I shifted my focus to a little about his personal life which has been a subject of discussion in the media since quite some time.

And when I asked Arjun about 'how tough it is if and when a married man is linked up', Gaurang butted in to say that he’s not making CHUDAIL KI JAWAANI!

Chudail Ki Jawaani? Eeks! Is this how a senior producer should speak to a young female reporter or for that matter to anybody else?

Note well, I hadn't even named Arjun's wife in my question or any other lady that he has been linked up with.

And Gaurang went on and on to emphasise
that the interview will go on IF ONLY IF my next question was strictly related to Aankhen 2!

This is what exactly transpired:

SpotboyE:
Too much has been written about your personal life. Did it take a toll on you?
Arjun: No, it should be taking a toll on people writing about it (laughs) because that’s their version of my personal life

SpotboyE
What does marriage mean to you?
Arjun: Long term commitment which I think is which you can see between two people who think that the relationship can get that serious… And it’s a lot of work.

SpotboyE:
Is it tough in the industry if and when a married man is linked up?
Gaurang: Why are you asking these kind of questions, I don’t understand. This is a Aankhein 2 interview.
Arjun: You are taking it to the other thing, anyway, it’s okay. It’s okay.

Gaurang: This is only Aankhen 2. I am not making CHUDAIL KI JAWAANI. Don’t ask such merry-go round questions, I am not interested in this.

Has Gaurang become Arjun's publicist?

Pray, where are we heading for? The other day I was told by a PR to not ask Emraan Hashmi any questions on his previous film Azhar. I was meeting Emraan for the promotions of Raaz Reboot and she obviously didn't want me to touch upon a film (Azhar) which hadn't lived up to expectations. Basically, 'meet me and only hoist my flag'- that's what almost ALL interactions have become. Barring a stray occasion or two, a journalist is not allowed to ask anything
else except the star's film which is round the corner.

Surprisingly, the star's are not so ruffled taking different types of questions from journos. If you see the video above clearly, Arjun was not falling off from the chair when I asked him about his personal life.

But Gaurang Doshi had other ideas! Uff! These barriers! Oh, they outline their job profile on their own and carry it to extreme levels.

Back to Arjun. I would love to know his take on Gaurang's 'behaviour' during my interview with him. I am putting this interview out on social media and tagging him, and needless to add, I am sure that the world or at least his fans would be waiting to hear from him if Gaurang did a right thing in a right manner.
