Information & Broadcasting minister Arun Jaitley will meet Shyam Benegal and the newly appointed committee for the revamp of CBFC, on Saturday.
Benegal, in his new role of the head of the committee, has stated that he doesn’t feel the need for censorship in a democracy. The noted filmmaker feels that henceforth, films should only have a gradation system as is the practice in the West.
A decision regarding this subject will be arrived at, in the meeting.
