Aryan Khan's Release Now On Saturday As Jail Deadline Missed; Shah Rukh Khan's Bungalow, Mannat Lights Up-SEE Photos
The Bombay High Court granted bail to Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan in connection with the Mumbai drugs case on Thursday. However, the bail papers did not reach the Arthur Road Jail on time - by the deadline of 5.30 pm on Friday. Aryan, thereby, will have to spend another night in jail. He will now most likely be released on Saturday morning, according to a report in The Times Of India.

Ahead of Aryan's release, on Friday evening, fans and paparazzi gathered outside Shah Rukh Khan's mansion, Mannat. And it had certainly lit up. Several pictures and videos of the Mannat staff decorating the house with lights have also gone viral.

Speaking about the delay in processing Aryan’s release, Arthur Road Jail Superintendent, Nitin Vayachal was quoted by ETimes as saying, "Bail box has opened for the last time at 5.30 pm today. Rules will not be changed for anyone."

Another India Today report quoted a senior jail official as saying, "If the release order is received on time, Aryan Khan will come out of ArthurRoad Jail between 9 am and 12 pm on Saturday. This is also based on the number of release orders in the Jamanat Box outside Arthur Road Jail. If there are many orders, it may take time. If there aren't too many, it can happen early as well."

SRK's close friend, actress Juhi Chawla was the surety for Aryan. She on Friday was at the Special NDPS court to sign a Rs 1 lakh bond for Aryan after the bail conditions were explained by the Bombay High Court. “I'm just happy that it's all over and Aryan Khan will come home very soon. I think it's a big relief for everybody,” she told ANI. “Abb bachchaa ghar aa jaayega,” she added.

Aryan, along with a few others, was arrested by the NCB on October 3 in connection with the seizure of banned drugs onboard a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast. He was sent to 14-day judicial custody on October 7 and has been lodged at the Arthur Road jail since then. SRK had moved the High Court after both Magistrate and Sessions courts rejected Aryan's bail plea.
