Bollywood actors Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor returned from their Maldives vacation on Sunday. The couple was spotted when they were heading out of the airport. They were clicked by the paparazzi when they walked towards the parking. Before Alia and Ranbir, actors- Tiger Shroff, Disha Patani, who jetted off to the island country for the third time amidst the pandemic, also returned to Mumbai recently. Several other Bollywood celebrities like Janhvi Kapoor and others also got back a few days ago. Amidst the rising COVID-19 cases in India, Maldives shut its gates for tourists.
On Twitter, Maldives’ Ministry of Tourism made a tweet putting a ban on tourists travelling to the island country from India. The tweet read, “With effect from 27 April @HPA_mv suspends tourists travelling from #India to #Maldives from staying at tourist facilities in inhabited islands. We thank you for the support in our endeavour to make tourism safest possible with minimum inconvenience.” In the notice put out by the Maldives Ministry of Tourism, the country informed they have suspended tourists travelling from India. The tweet mentioned that the rule will be in effect from April 27. The Maldives Ministry of Tourism stated that they are trying to make tourism "safest possible with minimum inconvenience".
