Biopics in Bollywood never fail to work at the box-office and impress the audience as well. Yet another biopic is in the pipeline, after PM Narendra Modi's, on the former Prime Minister late Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Tentatively titled as The Untold Vajpayee, rights for the same were acquired by Amaash Films' Shiva Sharma and Zeeshan Ahmad. The biopic is penned by Ullekh NP. Just like PM NaMo's biopic this one too will focus on Vajpayee's journey ranging from his childhood to college life to a politician on the screen.
Revealing the reason why he picked Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's biopic to be produced under his banner, Shiva was heard saying that people are unaware of load many details of this iconic minister, hence he zeroes down on this one. Shiva Sharma during his interaction with Zoom said, "The Untold Vajpayee is one of my most ambitious projects and it gives me a feeling of immense honour and joy to be able to put up this unsung hero onto the big screen. Also, I believe not everyone knows the real side of Atal Bihari Vajpayeeji. While reading this book, I also discovered quite a lot about his personality traits, the work done by him during his tenure as a Prime Minister for our country."
Shiva also confirmed that once the scripting is completed, the team will finalise on the crew and cast. Atal Bihari Vajpayee served as the first Indian Prime Minister that belonged to Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP), he served for five year from 1998-2004. He passed away in the year 2018 after a prolonged illness.
