Actress Athiya Shetty is rumoured to be dating cricketer KL Rahul. Reportedly, the two have been dating each other for quite some time now. Although Athiya and Rahul have not officially accepted their relationship, their secret vacations, mushy social media posts, and online PDA say it all. Not to forget, they made their first public appearance together as a couple during the screening of Ahan Shetty’s debut movie Tadap. Now, the actress has finally reacted to her wedding rumours!
The Mubarakan actress was recently spotted at the airport when a few photographers asked her about her wedding rumours. Responding to them, Athiya said, “Arey yaar” and walked off. She also made a negative gesture as she points out her finger indicating they are not true. For the outing, Athiya kept it casual and stylish in blue trousers and a tank top that she styled with a coat. The actress also posed for the paparazzi before making her way inside the airport. Earlier, it was reported that Athiya and KL Rahul will get married by the end of this year. The duo will reportedly tie the knot in a South-Indian-style wedding. However, Athiya’s close friend dismissed such reports and told the Bombay Times, that as of now there’s no wedding in the cards as both of them are busy with their respective professional commitments. “It's not true! There's no wedding happening this year. Athiya has two projects starting at different intervals in this year. One is for the web domain, the other is a theatrical movie. KL Rahul has the world cup coming up and his schedule is blocked with different tournaments before that. With their hands full, where do they have the time to have a wedding this year?,” she was quoted saying.
Notably, on Athiya Shetty’s birthday, KL Rahul had penned a note for her where he declared his love. Since then, the couple has been giving each other sweet shout-outs on social media. As per the latest report, Athiya and Rahul have rented a swanky sea-facing apartment in Mumbai to move in together.
