Ayushmann Khurrana At Dream Girl Trailer Launch: In Class X, I Pretended To Be A Girl While Talking To My GF's Father
Ayushmann Khurrana is coming with another whacky character where he will transform himself into a 'Dream Girl' which is well appreciated by the audience. From being a sperm donor in Vicky Donor, a man with erectile dysfunction in Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, a man had to accept the fact that his parents are having sex into their late forties in Badhaai Ho, to playing a pretend-to-blind pianist, his experimental roles have paid off really well. And the fans are pretty sure that his Dream Girl will be no less.

In the trailer, we have seen how the actor who is essaying the role of a woman talks in a mesmerising voice and for that, the actor revealed at the trailer launch that he had to talk like a girl when his class X GF's father snatched the phone.

Earlier in an interview with Mid-Day, the actor told how he modulated his voice for the preparation of his character in the film. "I had to deliver 25 per cent of my dialogues in a woman's voice. Since I come from a radio background, it's easier for me to modulate my voice. I have spent years behind the mic, mimicking different people. Raaj had given me the references of a few men, who prank people by talking like a woman. I studied those videos extensively," he said.

"The biggest challenge was to crack the right note. As a guy, I have a natural (deep) baritone and that makes it difficult to sound convincing as a woman," the actor added.  Ayushmann, who has worked as a radio jockey in the past, also said, "To transition between voices was challenging, but it wasn't one bit exhausting. I am naturally drawn to different characters, so this was an adventure."

The report also suggested that the Dream Girl director initially planned to have a woman dub for Ayushmann's voices. However, he was so impressed by the actor that he decided to go forward with his version.

Talking about the film, Set against the backdrop of Mathura, Dream Girl is a comedy of errors that stars a crackling ensemble consisting Annu Kapoor, Vijay Raaz, Abhishek Bannerjee, Manjot Singh, Nidhi Bisht, Rajesh Sharma, Raj Bhansali among others. Produced by Shobhaa Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, Dream Girl releases on September 13, 2019.
