Coronavirus is taking a toll on everybody - mentally and economically. While we all are forced to sit inside our homes and work as much as possible, there are some who are finding it very difficult to make their ends meet. One such is Solanki Diwaker, a small-time actor, who is now selling fruits on the streets of Delhi as he has been jobless for the past two months due to Coronavirus lockdown. Solanki has worked in films like Ayushmann Khurrana's Dream Girl and Sushant Singh Rajput's Sonchiriya.
Talking to ANI, Solanki said, "With the lockdown being extended I have to take care of my needs. I have to pay my rent and also need money to meet the expenses of my family. So I have turned back to selling fruit." He was supposed to shoot a film with late Rishi Kapoor if the lockdown wasn't imposed. Sadly, that film has now been cancelled. "Because of the coronavirus and lockdown it was postponed and now he is no more. I very much regret not being able to work with Rishi Kapoor ji. If the lockdown and Corona had not happened, I would have been in Mumbai doing some small roles in movies," he quoted further.
As per reports, Solanki goes to Okhla Mandi in the morning to buy fruits and then sells on the streets. He did mention the hardship he faces as he has to stand in long queues and even deal with police officers. Apart from this, there's a risk of attracting Coronavirus. Ever since the lockdown has been announced, no films are being shot. Recently, FWICE requested CM Uddhav Thackeray to let the work on some projects begin.
