Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14, and his demise left everyone numb. The actor was said to be in depression and was taking treatment for the past six months. His demise has also put the industry in bad light as the debate over nepotism has once again taken the social media by storm. Biggies like Karan Johar, Aditya Chopra, Salman Khan and others are being accused of sidelining Sushant in the industry as he was an outsider. Amidst all of this, an old interview of Ayushmann Khurrana has resurfaced on the web.
Ayushmann Khurrana who was a radio jockey first has made it big in the industry on the basis of his sheer talent. When he was just an aspiring actor, he had commented that Karan Johar's production house once told him that the filmmaker works only with big stars. His quote read, "I was extremely excited and thought to myself, ‘Ab toh life set hai. Ab mujhe koi rok nahi sakta! Ab toh introducing Ayushmann Khurrana hai by Dharma Productions!’ The next day I dialled the number Haran had given me. They said Karan wasn’t in office. The day after that I called again. They said he was busy. And finally, my bubble burst when, the subsequent day, they told me bluntly ‘We only work with stars, and can’t work with you’."
So on Twitter, while people are demanding justice for Sushant Singh Rajput, they are also sharing this excerpt of Ayushmann's interview stating that it exposes Karan. Check out some of the tweets below.
