Ayushmann Khurrana Starrer Doctor G Finds Its Leading Lady; Rakul Preet Singh Comes On Board
As per latest reports Rakul Preet Singh has been signed to play the leading lady opposite Ayushmann Khurrana in Doctor G
Ayushmann Khurrana who be seen in Doctor G directed by Anubhuti Kashyap has finally found their leading lady in Rakul Preet Singh. This collaboration of Rakul and Ayushmann will be a fresh pairing on the silver screen. As per reports in Times Of India, the actress will be seen playing Dr Fatima, a medical student on the silver screen. In this comedy-drama, Ayushmann will be seen playing Dr Uday Gupta and Rakul plays his senior in college. This project has got Rakul all excited.
The actress shared she fell in love with the movie script when it was narrated to her. Also, the actress is elated to share screen space with Ayushmann and thankful to the production banner, Junglee Pictures and director Anubhuti Kashyap. Rakul said, “I’m super excited to be a part of Doctor G. There are many firsts in this film for me, starting with my co-star Ayushmann. I am thankful to Junglee Pictures and director Anubhuti Kashyap for bringing us together. I was in love with the script from the time I heard it.”
Speaking about the storyline, she said, “It’s an interesting story, revolving around the medical profession and set in a campus. It will provide a new perspective to the audience. I can’t wait to start shooting for the film.”
Director Anubhuti Kashyap terming the lead pair as talented individuals shared being happy to have them on board, she said, “It’s always amazing to see two talented individuals coming together. We wanted an interesting cast for the film and I am happy we have Ayushmann and Rakul. Their on-screen pairing is fresh just like the characters they play in the film.
