Sir Ian McKellen, who is currently in India as part of Shakespeare Lives on Film -- a global programme celebrating the Bard’s works and his influence on culture, education and society -- participated in a discussion with Aamir Khan last evening.

The conversation, part of Jio MAMI Film Club’s launch, took place at Tata Theatre (National Centre for Performing Arts).
The evening was attended by many Bollywood celebrities, including Kangana Ranaut, Sonam Kapoor, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Kiran Rao, Atul Kasbekar, Sanjana Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Kabir Khan and wife Mini Mathur, Imran Khan and his better half Avantika and Shayoni Gupto.

Later, a dinner was hosted in the senior English actor’s favour at Mukesh and Nita Ambani’s South Mumbai residence, Antilia.
