Baar Baar Dekho director Nitya Mehra and her hubby Karan Kapadia have welcomed a baby boy, soon after which they had surprise visitors in Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone
Nitya Mehra, who rose to fame with her directorial stint in Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra starrer Baar Baar Dekho, recently entered the most special phase in her life. Last week, Nitya Mehra and her husband Karan Kapadia embraced parenthood for the first time after they welcomed a baby boy in a suburban hospital in Mumbai. The news was kept under wraps for nine months, until finally, the filmmaker shared a picture of herself, flaunting her baby bump, to spread awareness about breast cancer.
Taking to her Instagram, Nitya had posted a monochrome portrait of herself. An excerpt from her long caption read, “This is about breast cancer awareness. We need to talk about it, encourage women and men to get regular checkups, help people fight it, support families whose loved ones have been taken away by it!” As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, Nitya’s pregnancy was hidden from the world so that she could get the time to recover. Interestingly, the couple was taken by a delightful surprise, after they got visited by their good friends and actors, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. The report added that as soon as the Bajirao Mastani actor came to know about Nitya’s delivery, he, along with wife Deepika Padukone, visited the couple to congratulate them. In fact, the lovebirds also spent some quality time with the new parents and their little munchkin. Sweet gesture, isn’t it?
On the work front, before making her debut as a full-fledged director with Baar Baar Dekho, Nitya Mehra has been an assistant director for films
