BAD START TO 2018 For Shraddha Kapoor: Saina Nehwal Biopic SHELVED?

This piece of news might disappoint Shraddha Kapoor’s fans.
The Aashiqui 2 actress’ next- the
Saina Nehwal biopic, has hit a roadblock. As told by trade sources to DNA, the
film has been put on the back burner.
Shraddha and Saina had met on a few occasions and even
posted pictures of their meetings on Instagram. Preparations were on in full
swing with Shraddha constantly polishing her badminton skills.
BUT now, reportedly the project has been pushed and one
doesn’t know if it is indefinitely postponed or whether
it has been deferred for a bit. Either way, there is definitely a cloud of
uncertainty over this film.
Things have not been going smooth for Shraddha since a long time. On professional front, she has ended up with box-office duds like Ok! Jaanu, Half Girlfriend and Haseena Parkar and even her personal life has been making news for wrong reasons.
Just a few days back, Shraddha was in news for ‘unfollowing’ Farhan Akhtar on
Instagram. SpotboyE.com was the first one to bring this to our readers’ notice that Ms Kapoor is no more following her ex-boyfriend
on Instagram.
Not just this, Shraddha has also ended up in a legal
soup related to her last film, Haseena Parkar. A few months back, she
was named as an ‘Accused’ in a
criminal complaint filed by
fashion designers Aj Mistry and Thea Minhas, (who worked on the film’s costumes) in front of the Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate,
seeking punishment. And few days back, there was a development in the same case
as the judge ordered a police investigation in the matter, asking Shraddha along
with other accused, to produce themselves in front of the police to record
their statement.
2017 was definitely not the ideal year for the actress and 2018 has also begun on a sour note for her.
Now, let’s wait and watch to know
if the Saina Nehwal biopic gets revived or goes up in smoke.
