National award-winning actress Surekha Sikri was hospitalised this morning after she suffered a brain stroke. It was Sikri’s manager who then confirmed the news of the actress suffering a stroke with SpotboyE.com exclusively. The manager revealed that the Badhaai Ho actress is admitted to the hospital’s ICU. As Sikri is admitted to the Criticare Hospital in Juhu, on hearing about Balika Vadhu actress Surekha Sikri’s hospitalisation, her Badhaai Ho co-star Gajraj Rao and director Amit Sharma come forward and extend their support to the actress.
Speaking to ETimes TV, Badhaai Ho actor Gajraj Rao, who played the role of Surekha Sikri’s son in the movie expressed his concern over the ill-health of the actress. Expressing his concerns, Gajraj Rao said, “Both Amit Sharma, the Badhaai Ho director, and I are in touch with Surekha ji's secretary Vivek and yes, we are all there with her and we'll extend all help we can, to her." He mentioned that he and director Amit Sharma are in touch with Sikri’s secretary and are there with her to help.
Director Amit Sharma mentioned that he too is in touch with Surekha Sikri’s family and revealed that she is in the ICU and under observation. He said, “I am in Goa, but I have been in touch with her family. She is in ICU and is under observation. She was admitted to Citicare Hospital after she suffered a brain stroke on Tuesday.” The Badhaai Ho director added that he has spoken to people close to Sikri like her family, nurse and manager, and mentioned he will be doing his best to provide any kind of help that is needed. Amit Sharma also mentioned that he does not think that there would be any financial obstacles in Surekha Sikri’s treatment.
Meanwhile, this is not the first time when Surekha Sikri suffered a brain stroke. Speaking to SpotboyE.com exclusively earlier, Surekha Sikri had revealed about suffering a brain stroke in November 2018 and mentioned how she fell down when she was shooting.
