Badhaai Ho Trailer: 3rd Kid Can Happen After 25 Years Of Marriage, Ayushmann Khurrana Starrer Is Funny But Relatable
The trailer of Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra’s upcoming film Badhaai Ho is out. Before it was dropped online, SpotboyE.com attended a special preview of the trailer last evening at Zee Preview Theatres, Fun Republic
Ayushmann Khurrana plays a 30 something in Badhaai Ho who
discovers that his 47-year-old mom, played by Neena Gupta, is expecting! He’s
not too pleased. The trailer is replete with side splitting scenes.
It’s relatable, could happen to anybody in their 30s. In fact, Ayushman at the screening also told us that he has seen the situation pan out for real. One of his friends discovered that his mum was accidentally pregnant when he was 25.
Is it embarrassing? Well, to think of it, it’s rather funny when you have to explain to people why you and your sibling have a major age difference. The film broaches a topic that people could brush under the carpet, in real life. But peppered with comedy, the same situation becomes extremely endearing and humourous in Badhaai Ho. Sanya Malhotra, who returns to the big screen after Dangal, was also present at the screening.
The film is directed by Amit Sharma, whose last offering at
the box office was Tevar. Looks like he’s done some serious bouncing back with
Badhaai Ho, after his last disastrous outing. The genre though is new for him,
must say he’s handled it well. But then, critical acclaim and box-office
success, are two animals that more often that not, don’t coexist. The film is
produced by Junglee Pictures, the production house whose most recent film at
the box-office was Alia Bhatt’s Raazi, a smash hit!
