We called up Bappi Lahiri a few minutes back on what's his opinion about the controversy that has chased Kanika Kapoor after she tested positive on the Coronavirus test.
Kanika returned from London about 10 days back and did not quarantine herself as one should. After that, she partied a few times- one of which was attended by senior BJP leader Vasundhara Raje and her son Dushyant.
Bappi Lahiri says that she should not have travelled back to India if she was in London. "That the first mistake she made," and then agrees, "It was irresponsible on her part."
Adds Bappida, "I am an ardent devotee of Lord Ganesha. I will pray for her quick recovery. She will get well soon."
Bappida (as he is fondly called) churned out Pyar Mein Thoda Twist with Kanika, only recently. In fact, he had met Kanika at the Pyar Mein Thoda Twist launch during the last week of February, a few days before she flew off to London.
Meanwhile, we just brought you the news that Taj Hotel In Lucknow is in a state of total chaos and panic. All residents have left. There is terrible chaos out there ever since we broke the story that Kanika Kapoor has tested positive for Coronavirus. Everyone was running helter-skelter until few minutes back, but now there's hardly anybody inside except the operators at the reception desk.
When contacted, Taj Hotel official had told SpotboyE.com, "Yes, we have evacuated every resident no matter what." When asked what's their next step, the official had expressed his inability to declare that.
Kanika is the first case in Bollywood that has tested positive for Coronavirus.
We had also spoken to Kanika's brother Anurag then, who had confirmed that his sister has been infected.
