Second wave of COVID-19 pandemic majorly affected India and led to lockdown in the country. Thus, resulting in temporary closing down of cinema halls. But Akshay Kumar is all set to bring his upcoming film Bell Bottom to the theatres. He unveiled the trailer of Bell Bottom in Delhi, yesterday. During the event, recalled his childhood days when he watched movies in theatres. As reported by ANI, a news agency, the star watched megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s movie, Amar Akbar Anthony in the movie theatre by buying a ticket for it in black. During his conversation with ANI he shared every anecdote of that particular day.
He said, “I have a lot of memories attached to theatres in Delhi. I was born in Chandni Chowk, where several movie theatres are located, including Delite Cinema. I had watched several movies there. I remember watching 'Amar Akbar Anthony' in the theatre by buying a ticket in black... it was raining heavily that day but I wanted to watch that film at any cost. Being a cinema lover, it was extremely important for me to watch that film. I failed to get a ticket to a theatre nearby my locality..so I had to go to Amba cinema where I watched Amar Akbar Anthony in black.”
Adding further he shared Amar Akbar Anthony is one of the movies, which will remain alive in his memories. “Some films always remain alive in your memory and for me, Amar Akbar Anthony is one such movie which will be cherished by me always,” added Akshay.
As per reports in the media, the government has eased certain rules in the country, thus allowing the theatres to function by following safety measures. Akshay Kumar starrer Bell Bottom, a spy thriller is set to release in theatres on August 19. Directed by Ranjit M Tewari it also stars Vaani Kapoor, Huma Qureshi, Lara Dutta and Adil Hussain in pivotal roles.
