Bell Bottom Song Sakhiyan 2.0 OUT: Maninder Buttar’s Recreated Version Of A Famous Song Ft Akshay Kumar And Vaani Will Make You Put On Your Dancing Shoes
The second song from Akshay Kumar and Vaani Kapoor-starrer Bell Bottom has been released. The song is a recreated version of Maninder Buttar’s 2018 hit Punjabi number ‘Sakhiyan.’
Akshay Kumar and Vaani Kapoor are gearing up for the release of their movie Bell Bottom, which marks their first outing together. Both the actors are leaving no stone unturned to promote the flick and to ensure that it becomes a massive hit. After treating fans to its first song, the makers have now released the second track titled ‘Sakhiyan 2.0’. The peppy foot-tapping number is a recreated version of singer Maninder Buttar’s 2018 hit Punjabi number ‘Sakhiyan.’
Akshay Kumar took to his social media accounts to share the track and wrote, “Can't wait for you guys to feel the Sakhiyan2.0 vibe, Song Out now, #SakhiyanBellBottom.” The three-minute song shows Akshay and Vaani showcasing their dancing prowess. Their sizzling chemistry in the song is simply unmissable.
Sakhiyan 2.0 has been composed by Babbu, Maninder Buttar and Tanishk Bagchi, with vocals by Maninder and Zara Khan.

Talking about the movie, Bell Bottom will see Akshay essaying the role of a RAW agent. Vaani will be seen playing his wife in the spy thriller. Inspired by real-life hijacking events in India, it also stars Lara Dutta and Huma Qureshi in key roles. Lara’s transformation into Indira Gandhi, the former prime minister of India, has left everyone mighty impressed. Bell Bottom has been helmed by Ranjit M Tewari.
In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Akshay Kumar revealed that it was him who recommended Lara Dutta for the role. “He’d (Ranjeet Tewari) shown me some archived footage of Mrs. Gandhi, she had a certain body language and gravitas which I felt Lara could bring to the character and look, what an amazing job she has done,” he was quoted as saying.
Bell Bottom is slated to release in 3D on August 19, 2021.
