Before commencing the shoot of any flick, the film’s team is often seen meeting the Chief Ministers of the particular state, to get permission to shoot in the respective state. Similarly, before kick-starting the shoot for Dinesh Vijan's horror- comedy Bhediya starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, in Arunachal Pradesh, the entire team met the Honourable Chief Minister Pema Khandu in the state. Also present were Sh. Bamang Felix, Minister of home and interstate affairs, Sh Naresh Kumar, Chief Secretary Sh. Sonam Chombey, Commissioner to HCM. 

In February, there were reports that Varun would shoot Bhediya in Arunachal Pradesh. A few weeks ago, Varun took to his Instagram to share a teaser of the film and wrote, "#BHEDIYA ka pranaam #stree ji aur #roohi ji ko. In theatres 14 TH April 2022.” Earlier today, the Badlapur actor posted a short clip on Instagram, where he mimicked a wolf's howl at the entrance of an aircraft, giving a little feel of his upcoming film. Actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Arjun Kapoor found it very funny and commented on it. While Khurrana said, “Bhediya re bhediya re, mera dil chura ke layi jaa”, Arjun simply left a laughing emoticon in the comment section.

Apart from Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan, Directed by Amar Kaushik, Bhediya is a horror-comedy that also stars Abhishek Banerjee and Deepak Dobriyal, written by National Award Winner, Niren Bhatt. Jio Studios & Dinesh Vijan present, Bhediya. Bhediya is slated to release in cinemas on 14th April 2022.
