Bollywood reacts to Sanjay Dutt’s freedom

Sanjay Dutt will be a free man on February 27 after serving his sentence for the 1993 Mumbai blasts case (Sanjay Dutt to walk free on February 27, January 7). SpotboyE spoke to Sanju’s friends from the industry.
Anil Kapoor, who has shared screen space with Sanjay in many films, said, “We always knew that he will be free this year, but now, it has been announced formally. It’s great news! After his return, I’m sure he will emerge a much bigger star.”
Kangana Ranaut, who was close to the Dutts at one point in time and had even worked with Sanjay in Rascals, was in a jubilant mood. “We’ll party with him as soon as he walks free,” she said.

Vidhu Vinod Chopra is happy that his Munna Bhai is past the darkest phase of his life. The filmmaker said, “Sanjay had committed a mistake and he took the punishment in his stride. This will be a new chapter in his life and we will be by his side, every step of the way.”
