As per the latest reports, the Bombay High Court has directed Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his brother Shamasuddin not to post or upload any remarks against each other on social media. On Wednesday, the court asked both the brothers to refrain from making statements against him to maintain equity" and in light of efforts to amicably resolve issues between them. For the unversed, Nawazuddin has filed a defamation suit against his brother seeking Rs 100 crore in damages for posting alleged defamatory statements against him on social media.

In its order, the court asked both Nawazuddin and Shamas to be present with their lawyers in his chambers on May 3. This was directed to explore the possibility of an amicable settlement between them. Justice Chagla was quoted saying, “In view of settlement talks, there will not be any (social media) posts against each other, there will be no aspersions cast against each other, in view of the possibility of an amicable settlement. The actor has withdrawn the name of his ex-wife Zainab from the suit as his lawyer told the former couple was trying to resolve their issues amicably. Advocate Rumi Mirza said to HC that settlement talks are going on between Nawazuddin and his ex-wife due to the intervention of a division bench of the high court. He said there is a chance that similar arrangements could happen between the brothers.

In February, Shamas Nawab alleged that Nawazuddin has a habit of disowning people. He even called Nawaz a difficult person to live with.
