Boney Kapoor Confirms His Daughter Jhanvi Will Be Launched By Karan Johar was the first one to tell you that Karan Johar will be launching Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s elder daughter Jhanvi Kapoor in Bollywood (Guess Who Is Launching Sridevi's Daughter Jhanvi Kapoor, Nov 14).

Just like all the other times, this time too we were bang on! Boney Kapoor has confirmed saying that it is Karan Johar who will be launching his daughter in the industry of dreams, stardom and more.

Talking to a leading daily, Boney said, "Yes, Karan has been talking to us about a film for Jhanvi and we’ve given consent. But we don’t know which project it would be. Since Karan has recently acquired the remake rights of Sairat it is being presumed that our daughter would be launched in this project."

Not just this, Boney also expressed his nervousness about her debut and hoped she is not compared to her Superstar mother Sridevi. "I see in my daughter the same focus and concentration on her chosen career as her mother. It’s never easy for star kids to make a place for themselves as they are invariably compared with their legendary parents. I hope Jhanvi won’t be compared with her mother, though”, adds the doting dad.

Karan has a history of making stars out of star kids and all three alumni of his 2012 directorial Student Of The Year, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra, are part of the Bollywood A-list.

However, if Karan decides to launch Jhanvi in the remake of Sairat(which to us looks unlikely) Karan’s task will be rather difficult as Sairat (Marathi film) was a total non-commercial, de-glam and a village based story and Karan Johar as we all know is known for glamour, style and larger than life cinema.

So, let’s hope whatever Karan Johar decides for Jhanvi, it works for her debut just like it did for Alia Bhatt.
