Brahmastra stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in pivotal roles with Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy in primary roles. As the makers of the Ayan Mukerji’s film Brahmastra stars Ranbir has been making hard efforts to make it a visual treat for fans, reportedly, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were also offered roles in this sci-fi flick. While Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are busy gearing up for their film ’83, since some time now, there have been rumors that Ayan Mukerji approached Ranveer and Deepika to step in two important roles for his upcoming flick. Amidst the rumors, it looks like DeepVeer were also offered to play parents in Ayan Mukerji’s next. According to reports in Pinkvilla.com, a source close to the development revealed that as Brahmastra is written in a way where many characters who will hardly have a role in the first part, come into play in the next two parts of the trilogy, the Brahmastra director needed two actors from the younger generation in their mid-30s to play Ranbir aka Shiva’s parents in the film.
As Deepika and Ranveer were considered for these roles in the film, Ayan Mukerji offered the stars the role of playing Ranbir Kapoor’s parents in Brahmastra, in their actual ages. Shocking as it may sound, the setting of the film is completely different as per the report. The storyline of the film will see Ranbir losing his parents at a young age, making DeepVeer playing their actual ages. While the film will see Deepika and Ranveer even in a cameo in the part one of Brahmastra, their main backstory will be coming to light in the second part, but the report states that neither Ranveer nor Deepika have signed the dotted line as of yet.
