While the rest of the film and TV industry is undergoing a phase of uncertainty for almost over a year now, debutante Ehan Bhat seems to be on a professional high. In the last three months, the actor has debuted across three avenues and has almost unanimously gathered praise in all that he has done.
In March, Ehan appeared opposite Nora Fatehi in a music video, Chhor Denge, where he played a murderous ex-lover. The song emerged as a success and has already crossed over 300 million views on YouTube. The following month, Ehan made his film debut with AR Rahman’s dream project, the musical, 99 songs. The film had a theatrical release but due to the second wave of Covid, it couldn’t enjoy that for long and a month later it was released on Netflix, but Ehan received critical praise for his portrayal along with the film.
Towards May end, Ehan made his digital debut as well as he appeared in Ekta Kapoor’s Broken But Beautiful 3. The show featured Siddharth Shukla as Agastya and Sonia Rathee as Rumi in the lead. Ehan played Rumi’s childhood crush and obsession Ishaan, who is shown as a man who wants to get anything that he can’t, and is attracted towards successful women.
So, how does it feel to delve into three different avenues in just the first three months of his career? “I feel like when I came to Mumbai, there was a lot on my plate. My dreams are sky high and these are just budding steps that I am taking to reach there,” Ehan insists. He goes on to add, “To be a part of such projects like my song, Chhor Denge, which has crossed over 300 million views on YouTube, followed by a debut with a film like 99 songs and with AR Rahman sir, which is a dream film debut, and then being featured in a series like Broken But Beautiful 3 that kind of represent Alt Balaji, I feel like I have done something great in my past life that I came across amazing projects like these. I am really excited and humbled by all the love that I have been receiving in the last three months. I have had almost 300+ fan pages on social media and that’s just wow. I am just extremely grateful,” Ehan concludes.
