Anurag Kashyap has been in the headlines lately, courtesy, his amazing social media posts. The ace filmmaker, who is a regular at Cannes, is currently in France attending the 74th Cannes Film Festival, one of the most prestigious movie galas in the world. Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar inaugurated the virtual "India Pavilion" at the 74th Cannes Film Festival, which kick-started from 6 July and will conclude on 17 July.
Anurag has been sharing glimpses from it on his Instagram handle. Recently, he shared a selfie with his festival companion. Sharing the post he wrote, “With my Festival Companion .. Back at the Grand Theatre Lumiere for “Where is Anne Frank?” By Ari Folman.. @festivaldecannes.”
In the photo, the director can be seen with his mask on as he poses for a click with his female companion. Previously, Anurag had posted a photo with Hong Kong film director Wong Kar-wai, recalling his meeting with him. The post was captioned as “And this from 2009 Venice Film Festival, my first jury ever.. when I met Wong Kar Wai in his hotel room .. his one picture where he isn’t wearing his sunglasses and you can see his eyes.. #memories.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Anurag is gearing up for the release of his next directorial Dobaara. The movie stars Taapsee Pannu in the lead role and it marks her third collaboration with him. The shooting of the film was wrapped up in March this year.
Talking about the film, in a statement, Anurag had said, “Our vision with Dobaaraa is to bring a fresh, new story to the audience and I am very excited for it. This will be my third collaboration with Taapsee and this time the attempt is to bring an interesting new take on thrillers.”
