Modi, the famous jewllery brand, which is endorsed by Priyanka Chopra has
landed in a big trouble.
According
to NDTV, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has booked billionaire
jeweller, Nirav Modi, in a multi crore cheating case.
CBI
officials have linked Nirav Modi to Rs. 280-crore cheating case related
to Punjab National Bank.
Mr Modi was raided by Income tax officials on
January 31; his offices in Delhi, Surat and Jaipur were allegedly under IT
department's scanner.
Nirav Modi, an Indian born jewellery designer is
the founder of $2.3 billion Firestar Diamond.
In
Feb 2017, luxury diamond brand Nirav Modi Jewels appointed Chopra as its global brand
ambassador. She also featured in an ad campaign for their new range along
with Sidharth Malhotra.
In
fact Lisa Haydon has also done a few photo shoots for the renowned
designer.
Hollywood
celebrities like Taraji P. Henson, Karlie Kloss, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley,
Kate Upton, Stella Maxwell and Olivia Munn chose the brand to adorn their looks
at the 89th Oscar Awards in 2017.
