Chehre: Amitabh Bachchan Starrer Will Not Release In Theatres Amidst Rising COVID-19 Cases; Emraan Hashmi Informs, Says ‘See You In Cinemas Soon’
Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi starring film Chehre was scheduled to release in theatres on April 9. Amidst the rising COVID-19 cases, the film release is postponed. Emraan Hashmi shared an official statement and informed fans about the latest update related to the film. The Mumbai Saga actor made a tweet on his Twitter and wrote, “The well-being of our very own audience is of utmost importance to us.  We are extremely humbled by the love and support that we have received this far. See you in the cinemas soon. Until then, stay safe! - Team #Chehre”

On Twitter, along with the tweet, Emraan Hashmi also shared an official statement from the makers of Chehre. The statement released by Chehre makers read, “Due to the rising cases of COVID-19 and new guidelines for cinemas, we are unable to release our movie Chehre on 9th April and have decided to postpone until further notice. We have received an overwhelming response on our trailer and we are grateful for all the love and support. We have decided to bring Chehre to audiences theatrically when the environment is more conductive for the experience. See you in cinemas very soon, until then stay safe and healthy! Cover your Chehre with a mask and don’t forget to use sanitiser. Team Chehre…”

Meanwhile, the makers recently released the trailer of the Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi starrer. The trailer received an amazing response from the audience. Chehre is directed by filmmaker Rumy Jafry. It also stars Rhea Chakraborty, Annu Kapoor, Krystle D’souza and Siddhant Kapoor in supporting roles.
