Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty is all set to feature in the film Chehre, directed by filmmaker Rumi Jaffrey. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi in pivotal roles. A few months ago, the makers of Chehre released the trailer of the film. It was intriguing and the audience loved it. However, due to the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, the movie release was postponed. The audience could catch a glimpse of Rhea Chakraborty in the film trailer. In an interview, Chehre director Rumi Jaffrey talks about Rhea’s performance.
According to a report in ETimes, the Chehre director spoke highly about Rhea Chakraborty’s performance in the film. As it was speculated that Rhea’s role in the film would be affected after the sudden demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, he had said, “She is very much part of the film and has done fabulous work." Jaffrey had confirmed Rhea is a part of the film and mentioned how she has done a fabulous job.
During an interview now, Rumi Jaffrey also opened up about the release of his film. The director mentioned he wants the film to release in theatres, however, he shared he supports the decision of his producer. He also said it will be the producer’s call. Rumi Jaffrey said, “I have made it for the theatres but I am always with my producer whatever his call. He is, at present, away in the US and once he is back it will entirely be his call.”
Meanwhile, the trailer of Chehre released on March 18 last year. The initial release of the film was scheduled for July 2020.
