Basking in the success of her successful career, Bhumi Pednekar is now a climate warrior. The Saand Ki Aankh actress believes, ‘humanity has damaged the climate extensively’. Talk about her tight schedules, Bhumi has her hands full of different projects. After Saand Ki Aankh, the actress who will be seen in Pati Patni Aur Woh, Bhoot - Part One: The Haunted Ship, Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitaare, in the next six months, will start shooting for the Karan Johar opus, Takht, very soon.

But before anything else, the actress wants requests one and all to take care of the environment. A while back, Bhumi took to social media and shared a heartbreaking video of Polar Bears surrounded with tons of plastic. Captioning the video, the actress wrote, “This video made shiver with fear, broke my heart... Plastic and Pollution everywhere @afrozshah_ we need your army to spread in the farthest parts of the world 🌎 #PlasticCleanUp.”


A few days back, the Saand Ki Aankh actress had requested the people to save the environment. In a series of Tweet, Bhumi had shared a video of her talking about the disastrous climatic change. She had written, “Climate Warrior is my attempt to start a dialogue with people who work tirelessly to save the environment and highlight the crisis that we find ourselves in due to climate change. It’s a platform through which I hope to keep reminding people that climate change is real and comes with some serious repercussions. Through this initiative, I’m going to work towards bringing positive social change that’s the need of the hour.”

She further said, “The campaign will champion the efforts of these warriors regularly and ask people to participate in saving our planet because the threat to humanity is imminent and the time to act is now. I want to make people aware that by making minor yet significant changes in their daily lifestyle and thought process, they can help stop the damaging impact that’s happening in our climate. #ClimateWarrior #ClimateActionNow.
