Some tweets that are penned by public figure related to religion or even politics often create some trouble on social media. They are often scrutinised or simply bashed for sharing such tweets. Well, this time around it was Criminal Justice 2 writer Apurva Asrani who was at the receiving end of criticism when he shared a thoughtful message about the word ‘aum’ on his Twitter handle. However, his tweet was not well received by netizens who slammed the writer. Reacting to the same and seeing so much hatred towards his tweet on the power of ‘AUM’, he says that it’s bigotry to attack his faith in Hinduism.

Before we share his reaction, earlier he shared a tweet regarding ‘Aum’ which read, “Aum is the powerful primordial sound of the universe. These are three basic syllables that come out of mammals without manipulation of the mouth/tongue. This is why a child's first words are 'Maa' 'Amma' and ‘Mom’." After this, sometime back, he shared another tweet which read, “So much hate for my tweet on the power of 'AUM'. You want me to apologise for coming from a home that espouses Hindu philosophy? For my faith in meditation, prayer, yoga, Ayurveda? You are entitled to your rationalism/atheism/cynicism, but its bigotry to attack my faith in Hinduism.”

We scrolled through his comment section this time where we saw plenty of them supporting him as one commented, “I begin my day with Aum. Also part of deep inhalation & exhalation. Ignore the haters” while another one wrote, “Arre Apurva leave them aside, they have to say things. That’s their job. Keep posting these tweets and Twitter toh 90% negative hi hai usse 10% ko pareshan nahi hona chahiye. Now let’s get back to ‘AUM’”
