Darlings: Alia Bhatt Kick-Starts Shooting; Says She Needs ‘Luck’ To ‘Match Up To Co-Actors Vijay Varma And Shefali Shah’

Actor Alia Bhatt is swimming in some lucrative films. The actor has some interesting films in the pipeline with prolific directors including SS Rajamouli and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Adding to the list, we have Darlings which also stars powerhouse talents, Vijay Varma, Shefali Shah and Roshan Matthew. The movie is bankrolled by superstar Shah Rukh Khan. As the film has piqued everyone’s interest, Alia recently announced that she has kick-started the shoot of Darlings. Bhatt took to her Instagram account to share some pictures of her day one. In the monochrome pictures, the 28-year old star is seen sitting on a chair and reading the script, presumably in her vanity van.
Sharing the snaps, Alia mentioned she is feeling nervous and according to her, she needs some luck to match up to her co-stars Vijay Varma, Shefali Shah and Roshan Matthew. Her Instagram caption read, “Day one of DARLINGS! my first film as a producer but I will always be an actor first & forever (in this case a very nervous actor) I don’t know what it is .. a night before I start a new film I get this nervous tingling energy all over my body.. i dream all night about messing up my lines..become jumpy.. reach set 15 mins before time fearing I’ll be late! I guess this feeling will never go away.. and it shouldn’t - because being nervous.. and feeling unsure means you really really care”
“Wish me luck pls (I’ll need all of it to match up to my co-actors @itsvijayvarma @shefalishahofficial @roshan.matthew),” Alia mentioned in her post-script. Gully Boy co-star Vijay Varma also commented, “Same! Sleepless and on tenterhooks. But I got the best coactor/producer so I’m sorted. aap apna dekho darlings” While Katrina Kaif wished her luck.
