Finally the D-Day is here. In a few hours, Bollywood’s one of the most adored couple- Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh will be man and wife. But before that, the couple celebrated their Haldi, Mehendi and Sangeet with full enthusiasm, yesterday. According to a report in India Today, the wedding festivities kicked-off with grand Sangeet and Mehendi ceremony, last afternoon at Casta Diva.
As we told you yesterday, Harshdeep Kaur was slated to perform at the Sangeet. She sang songs like Kala Sha Kala, Mehendi Hai Rachney Wali, Mehendi Ni Mehendi and Gur Naal Ishq Mitha. Reportedly, the dreamy wedding was a Punjabi-style function, with guests dancing to beats of the dhol.

DeepVeer’s engagement ceremony took place on Nov 12, about which SpotboyE.com was the first to tell you. According to a report in Deccan Chronicle, the actor gave a speech at the ceremony, which made the bride-to-be emotional. He also went down on his knees to propose to Deepika. The report suggests, “The engagement of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh is a story straight out of a fairytale as the couple enchanted everyone with their romance. Ranveer Singh went down on his knees asking for the hand of his ladylove at the engagement ceremony at a family dinner. The couple exchanged rings after which Ranveer gave an emotional speech and professed his love for her. An emotional Deepika couldn't hold her emotions and tears started rolling down her cheeks.”
The report also states, “The couple looked their stylish best as Deepika Padukone donned an off-white dress and Ranveer Singh donned a black suit. Making fairytales a reality, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have got the nation waiting with bated breath to witness the holy union.” Since no-photo policy at the wedding is going so strong, we just can’t wait to see pictures shared by the couple themselves.
