Deepika Padukone Spotted Shooting For Chhapaak In The Capital City; Looks Unrecognisable As Malti
Deepika Padukone is currently shooting in Delhi for her upcoming film Chhapaak, a film based on the real life story of acid attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal. A few days back, the Padmaavat actress revealed her first look from the film on social media. Since the film went on floors, pictures of the actress and her co-star Vikrant Massey from the sets have been doing the rounds of the web.

This afternoon, Deepika and Vikrant were captured by shutterbugs shooting for a sequence on the streets of Delhi. Dressed in a yellow and white salwar suit, the actress looks unrecognisable in the get-up of Laxmi Agarwal. In the video, the actress is seen getting off a scooter with Vikrant. A few days back, pictures of the dimpled beauty from the film had gone viral. While leaving from the sets, the Bajirao Mastani actress even stepped out of her car and waved to her fans.

Deepika Padukone shared her first look as Laxmi with her fans on social media and even announced the release date of the film. In her caption, Deepika wrote, “A character that will stay with me forever... #Malti. Shoot begins today #Chhapaak. Releasing 10th January, 2020."

While wishes and praises were pouring in aplenty for her efforts, Kangana’s sister Rangoli who’s also an acid attack survivor, took to social media and applauded the actress.

In her tweet, she wrote, “No matter how unfair and unjust the world is we musn’t reflect what we hate, this is commendable on @deepikapadukone and @meghnagulzar part, being an acid attack survivor I pledge to be their biggest cheerleader #Chhapaak.”

Directed by Meghna Gulzar and produced by Leena Yadav, Chhapaak will be releasing on January 10, 2020.
