Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has delivered several stellar performances so far, throughout her acting career. She has successfully managed to carve her niche in the Hindi film industry with her acting prowess. After featuring in the Meghna Gulzar directed film Chhapaak, Deepika was roped in filmmaker Shakun Batra’s untitled domestic noir drama. Padukone started working on the film during the pandemic. And, the film went on floors last year. While fans are eagerly waiting to know the role Padukone will be essaying in the movie, here are some details about it.
According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, a source revealed that Deepika Padukone plays the role of a fitness instructor in the movie. The source said, “Deepika plays the role of a fitness instructor. While many in the know say it's based on a celebrity fitness instructor, the team at Dharma Productions and the writers have completely denied it. But yes, it's true she plays a fitness enthusiast and a trainer in the domestic noir drama."
As per the report, the insider also shared some details on the storyline of the Shakun Batra directorial. The source mentioned that the movie will show Ananya Panday and Deepika Padukone playing sisters. And, the report stated that Deepika is opposite Chaturvedi, while Dhairya Karwa plays Panday’s love interest. The source continued, “Shakun has always got a kick out of complex relationship stories and in this, the complexities come when Deepika gets physically involved with her younger sister Ananya's partner Dhairya. The whole extra marital issue has been treated with a lot of sensitivity, ala typical Shakun style and it's an emotional watch."
