Dia Mirza Is All Praise For Lara Dutta’s Response To A Question When She Was Crowned Miss Universe In 2000

Dia Mirza is all praise for the former Miss Universe turned actress Lara Dutta in the latest INSTA Stories. The Love Breakups Zindagi actress was seen gushing over the former Miss Universe for her answer to one of the questions, what is the legacy one leaves behind during the 2000 Miss Universe beauty pageant. Hailing Lara, calling her ‘My Girl’ she posted a picture when was crowned as Miss Universe. The picture shared by Dia also had the answer given by Lara that made her stand apart from the rest of the girls competing at the beauty pageant.
Dia’s post also contained Lara’s quote at the beauty pageant that took place in 2000. It read, “Nobody is going to remember how you looked, what gown you wore, what makeup you had on, what jewellery you had on, or whether your nails were painted or not, but they will remember, how you treated them. It's how you treat people, that's the legacy you leave behind.” Lara looked gorgeous in a sparkling red dress and that victory smile was enough to explain her achievement.

Besides this, as per reports in several publications, Lara has also spoken about convincing people who were against the pageant. According to the former Miss Universe, these pageants gave young girls an opportunity to make their choices and be strong and independent individuals in the fields they chose for themselves. “I think pageants like the Miss Universe pageant gives us young women a platform to foray in the fields that we want to and forge ahead, be it entrepreneurship, be it the armed force, be it politics. It gives us a platform to voice our choices and opinions and makes us strong, independent that we are today,” said Lara.
While Lara Dutta was crowned as Miss Universe, Dia Mirza was crowned as Miss Asia Pacific and Priyanka Chopra bagged the Miss World title in 2000.
