Diana Penty Bags A Role In John Abraham’s Next Based On Pokhran Nuclear Tests

Diana Penty has been selective in choosing her films. In a career spanning for over 5 years, she has just done two films - Cocktail (2012) and Happy Bhag Jayegi (2016). She is currently shooting for the jail-break thriller, Lucknow Central opposite Farhan Akhtar, which is set to hit theatres on September 15.
However, she has now announced her 4th film, which will be her first action-thriller and it’s none other than John’s next based on the Pokhran Nuclear Test.
Talking about the film to leading news daily, Diana said, “Yes, I read the script and liked it instantly. It’s quick paced, intelligent and what’s most exciting for me is that it’s based on a true story. To be able to tell a story of such national importance and recreate history in a way, is what really drew me to this film. And yes, this is my first film in the action-drama genre. The idea has always been to try something different each time, and I’m glad I’ve had the opportunities to do so.”
Diana will be seen romancing John Abraham in the film. The script has been written by Saiwyn Quadros and Sanyuktha Chawla Shaikh (the writers behind the hit Sonam Kapoor thriller Neerja). The film goes on floors on May 30 this year.
Apart from this, Diana is also rumoured to be starring in the sequel of Happy Bhag Jayegi. Anand L Rai’s production venture was sleeper hit in 2016 and was Diana’s return to the screen after a long break. Also, she has been receiving a lot of appreciation for her latest TV commercial featuring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt.
Let’s see if John Abraham and Diana Penty’s chemistry will be able sparkle the big screen or not.
