They were drawn to each other when they did a couple of films down South and the relationship had acquired meaningful tones; they were together for nearly 18 months and had managed to keep it under wraps from the media and even from most of their friends and relatives.
If this was the case, why did they split? And mind you, the source tells us that they parted on an acrimonious note. The animosity, if now traced in hindsight, could be smelt from Prabhas' statement when he took a dig at Kajal's dressing sense. The Saaho star, in a video interview stated that he was not impressed with Kajal's dressing sense. "Sometimes, she had average dressing sense. It was earlier... but now it is good."
