While the rest of Bollywood has decamped to New York for the IIFA awards, Priyanka Chopra as usual is swimming against the tide.
The actress has taken a break from the filming of her Hollywood project, Isn’t It Romantic, and is back home in Mumbai to celebrate her birthday with her family.
Priyanka Chopra Is Back In Mumbai From The US
Just a few moments ago, the actress addressed a press conference where she was at her witty best.
Naturally, she was questioned about her absence from the IIFA weekend in New York, where everyone from Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif to Shahid Kapoor and Sushant Singh Rajput have gathered.
And Priyanka as usual gave the media some quotable quotes. This was her reply to the question.
“You know I tend to do things the other way round. I don't do normal! Normal is boring,” said Priyanka. (CHECK OUT THE VIDEO ABOVE)
Priyanka Chopra Has Given IIFA 2017 A Miss
When asked whether her absence will make IIFA 2017 lacklustre, Priyanka replied : “Now, whhat can I do about that? It's my birthday and I wanted to spend time with my family as that was more important for me this year. We haven't spent time together at all, because we have been travelling and working through out. Between my brother and me, it's been Bombay, Pune and America. Unfortunately IIFA fell at the same time! But I want to spent time with my family as I deserve it,” said Priyanka.
