Shah Rukh Khan has unearthed his Pekingese dog’s grave and built a memorial for the pet in the backyard of his home
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has had a blockbuster 2023. From impressing the audiences with his movies Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki, his cameo in Tiger 3, to his darling daughter debuting in Bollywood with The Archies, AbRam taking over the internet with his performance during his school’s play and Aryan Khan announcing his project, the actor and his family saw new heights of success last year. While the actor is known for his charming personality, he is also known for the unconditional love he has for his family, especially his pets.
During a recent interaction with Talky Tail, SRK’s wife Gauri Khan’s uncle shared a heartwarming where the actor built a memorial for one of his pets in the backyard of his house. As reported by Pinkvilla, the uncle had gifted a Pekingese breed dog to his niece, however, the actor has grown very fond of the pet. Unfortunately, the dog passed away when he was away shooting for a film. In an attempt to handle the situation, the household helpers wrapped the dog in a nice cloth and buried him near the seashore. Upon returning, when the actor got to know about the passing of his four-legged companion he was left devastated. The helpers informed him that they had laid the pet to rest in a grave near the sea. At 2:30 am, without any hesitation, the actor insisted on being shown the exact location. He went there, dug up the grave, and brought the dog back home, where they proceeded to place him in the backyard and make a memorial. ALSO READ: WHAT! Expressing his dismay, the teary-eyed Chennai Express actor asserted that the dog had to be them whether alive or departed. Emphasising the love Khan has for the pet, Gauri’s uncle shared that SRK took this heartfelt step despite being a busy man.
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is yet to announce his upcoming projects. If reports are to be believed, his next venture will be a Sujoy Ghosh directorial titled King. He will be starring in the movie alongside his daughter Suhana Khan.
