Casting director and filmmaker Mukesh Chhabra recently took to his official X handle (previously known as Twitter) and hinted at a sequel to late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s last movie Dil Bechara. Having shared a close relationship with SSR, he had expressed his grief after the actor’s untimely demise. On Wednesday, he tweeted, “Dil Bechara 2,” leaving fans of the actor devastated and furious. 

Netizens were quick to take the comment section of the tweet, to request the filmmaker not to make a sequel to Dil Bechara. Calling it an emotion, they stated that the second part of the movie will be incomplete without Sushant. One wrote, “No one will watch it without Sushant in it ! Thats movie of yours only succeeded coz of Sushant period!” Another wrote, “You are going to make the second part but we will miss #Sushant Sir a lot. We will never be able to forget him. May this part 2 also be a hit.We Miss You Sushiii. For the uninitiated, Dil Bechara was the official adaptation of Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort’s The Fault In Our Stars, which was based on a book by the same name. The movie centers on teenagers who deal with terminal illnesses and how they fall in love despite the hardships of their lives. Starring Sushant Sing Rajput, the movie marked the debut of Sanjana Sanghi. While Dil Bechara was not released on the big screens due to COVID-19, it was released on Disney+Hotstar. Having made an impact on the audiences with his powerful and versatile performance, Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging in his apartment, in June 2020. His then-girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty came under the scanner as she and her brother were accused of abetting his suicide. Fans are awaiting a closure on his ongoing death probe.
