Ranbir Kapoor recently opened up about questioning himself when he was preparing for his role in Animal and how his wife Alia Bhatt helped him through it
Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor left the audiences in awe of his versatile performances. He is currently enjoying the success of his movie Animal, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and many others. Being touted as one of the biggest blockbusters of 2023, Animal became a trending topic of discussion for promoting toxic masculinity and questionable dialogues. His intimate scenes with Triptii Dimri in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial was also heavily criticised. Now he has opened up about his portrayal of Ranvijay Singh Balbir.
In a video that was posted on the subreddit Bolly Blinds N Gossip, during a recent interaction, Ranbir credited his wife Alia Bhatt. He stated that it was because of her encouragement that he was able to portray such a character on-screen. Having essayed goodness on the screen for so long, he often questioned the character as he never pushed the boundaries as an actor. He went on to share that he and Alia talk a lot about each other’s work. The 41-year-old actor went on to share that he respects his wife as an artist, her mind and how she thinks. Quoted by Bollywood Shaadis, he went on to add, “Every scene or every day that I was going on this film, I used to discuss it with her. You know, she has helped me with so many scenes. She has helped me with the scenes, where you know, I was scared as an actor that this isn't sounding too wrong.” ALSO READ: WHAT! The Brahmastra actor added, “I have never pushed the boundary so much as a character. I also try to portray goodness on screen. Is this fine? I think she has really played that barometer and said, 'Listen, it's fine, it's a character, it's a part. It's making sense. There is an idea and a thought behind it'. I think she has been a very strong support as long as this film is concerned.”
For the unversed, the couple is currently busy enjoying one of the best phases of their life. Having tied the knot, after dating for a couple of years, in April 2022 in an intimate ceremony in the presence of their close friends and family, they announced their first pregnancy in June 2022. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt welcomed their baby daughter Raha in November 2022. On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor is yet to officially announce his next project.
