Dil Bechara Music: AR Rahman Says 'The Film Has Heart, And Now, Memories Of Sushant Singh Rajput'
There are a lot of emotions attached to Mukesh Chhabra's film Dil Bechara as it is the last film of Sushant Singh Rajput. The prolific actor passed away on June 14 as he died by suicide, even before this film could see the light of the day. After the trailer, the makers have released the title track of the film which is sung and composed by legendary AR Rahman with lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. In his latest interview, AR Rahman opened up on how he crafted music for this film.

The singer-composer shared his experience of working with casting director Mukesh Chhabra and even mentioned late Sushant Singh Rajput. He was quoted saying, "Composing music doesn't have any formula, it is a thing of the heart. When I write songs, I let them breathe for some time and then present it to the director. It was a great experience collaborating with Mukesh Chhabra on this film; his enthusiasm is infectious. This whole album is carefully curated because the film has so much heart, and now, memories of Sushant. It was a pleasure to work with lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya on this soundtrack of love. The songs are eclectic and feature an amazing lineup of India's top singers and musicians. I hope you will like the album."

The title track of Dil Bechara has Sushant Singh Rajput dancing his heart out while charming everyone with his innocence and infectious smile. He is a delight to watch as he effortlessly groves to the groovy beats of the song. Sanjana Sanghi only has a few glimpses in the song.

Talking about the music album of Dil Bechara, it comprises a diverse mix of songs that will resonate with both young listeners and old romantics. 'Maskhari,' a lighthearted song about friendship, features Sunidhi Chauhan and Hriday Gattani on the vocals, while Shreya Ghoshal and Mohit Chauhan’s 'Taare Gin' plucks at the strings of new love. 'Khulke Jeena Ka' is an adaptation of Rahman’s unreleased Tamil track 'Kannil Oru Thali' sung by Arijit Singh and Shashaa Tirupathi and it is about the adventures of youth. 'Main Tumhara' sung by Jonita Gandhi and Hriday Gattani, is a pivotal song on the film’s soundtrack; a revelatory track tied to the film’s mystery. Originally incomplete in the story, Kizzie (Sanjana Sanghi) and Manny (Sushant Singh Rajput)—the protagonists of Dil Bechara—are on a quest to complete this very song.

The film Dil Bechara that marks the directorial debut of Mukesh Chhabra will release on July 24 on Disney+ Hotstar. While SSR's fans demanded that the film releases in theatres post the lockdown, makers decided to opt for a digital release.
