Legendary actor Dilip Kumar is no more. The news of his death has left his fans heartbroken. The actor passed away in the early hours of Wednesday. The veteran actor's doctor recently revealed that was suffering from advanced prostate cancer that had spread in other organs of his body and his treatment was ongoing for the last 3-4 months. It is indeed a great loss for the Indian cinema and his fans are now flooding social media as they remember him.

Several celebrities arrived at the legendary actor's residence to pay their last respects. Shabana Azmi, Vidya Balan, Dharmendra among others were papped at his home. Shah Rukh Khan also arrived at Dilip Kumar's residence. Anybody and everybody knows how much SRK admired the legendary actor. Speaking to Mumbai Mirror, Saira Banu had once said 'I have always said that if we had a son, he might have looked like Shah Rukh'.

Apart from Shah Rukh Khan, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackery also arrived at the late actor's residence. He was accompanied by his son Aditya Thackeray. Karan Johar was also spotted arriving at the actor's home. Earlier, Dilip Kumar's Twitter handle, which was being managed by a family friend Faisal Farooqui shared the news of his death.


He wrote, 'With a heavy heart and profound grief, I announce the passing away of our beloved Dilip Saab, few minutes ago. We are from God and to Him we return. - Faisal Farooqui.' The tweet was followed by the details of the late actor's funeral. For the uninitiated, Dilip Kumar's funeral will take place with full state honours at 5pm at the Juhu Qabrastan in Santacruz.
